Hello, my name is Gary.

I am an Empath who has experienced and studied what it means to be one.

On this blog, you will find my personal experiences, thoughts and ponderings.

I have spent a good part of my life working to help empaths all over the world.

This blog covers the following subjects:

Depression and methods to heal depression.

Empaths.

Bach Flower Remedies

The psychic side of being an Empath.

Channeled writings on subjects such as empathy.

The Hidden Astral World series written by guest blogger Omen (who has more knowledge and experience in such things than I’ve ever seen.)

Plus much more.

I tend to post at least twice a week so if you wish to be kept up to date, please subscribe. (I used to post daily but realized few could really keep up.)

For those who are wondering who I am, and what my sources are, I will say that I’ve been a student of the esoteric nearly all my life.

I’ve studied extensively on many different subjects, including philosophies such as Taoism and Buddhism

I’ve studied Bach Flower Remedies intensively since 1994 and have made quite a few discoveries in regards to them.

My main focus is soul healing and giving people’s power back to them.

I became aware that I was an empath in the late 1990s. I would mention it to people, and they would always ask, what is an empath?

Eventually, I decided to write up an explanation on the web (circa 2002) because there just wasn’t anything around on that subject back then.

All my work and thoughts are my own. I have lived most of what I write about, and I have a deep understanding of what it is like to be an empath, suffer through depression, and what can be done to heal.

Feel free to e-mail me at gary@empathsupport.com

I will respond to all e-mails, generally pretty quickly. If you don’t get a response, it means something has gone wrong.

  1. But the fire signs – Aries, Leo and Sagittarius – all have a lot of energy and you may end up feeling as you’ve “burnt out” with a fire sign. Clairsentience or
clear feeling is the ability to acquire messages and perceive things from
the spirit world by clearly sensing the thoughts and the presence
of spirits and other entities. There does seem to be some supporting evidence of this theory.

  2. I just recently discovered that I’m empathic and it’s only after a really troubling outing. I went to the store and felt death as if it were for me and a little while after getting home I felt as though I was having a heart attack (I’m 23) so I went to the hospital only to have tests come back perfectly fine. But I cannot shake the feeling of fear I got from it. How can I decipher if it was about me or an impression I picked up?

    1. Actually, sounds like it was a psychic attack. I’ve heard of those before (and experienced them.) They feel like heart attacks, but are not.

Of course, there is also a change you did have a heart attack, died, and shifted timelines, which happens, too. (more often than you may think.)

  3. Thank you for your Blog, I have found you just today and contacted you via email too.
http://www.davemarkowitz.com he is an author and has a new book out on self care for empaths, your readers may like to know about this. I also wonder how many empaths had a difficult start to life ……ie in utero, during birth and just after?

my theory is that Empaths, may experience overwhelm during this time, and it sets them up to be hyper vigilant in life, of course there is much more to it than that, but the nervous system I think is too easily overloaded in Empaths, as they are geared to looked out for far too much , and their system I think allows far too much in for some reason. I also personally believe past life inflences comes into this as well as familiaral ones too.

  6. Excellent Blog. You are so right when you say “People say depression is an illness, but I say it’s because people are Empaths and they are not aware of that fact.” I am complete agreement with you, and this is so helpful for all Empaths out there. Everyone should read your material. Best, Dr. Deborah Kauflin

    1. Thank you and yes, I agree that being an Empth certainly makes you very vulnerable. The more people who can understand this, the easier it may be for all concerned.

      I appreciate your comments.

  7. Very nice, well laid out blog.

As far as thoughts on being an Empath:
” Sometimes it is a Blessing. Sometimes it feels more like a Curse. ”

It is what we do with it, and how we regard this ability to sense from others as to whether we become a healer, or we become bound-up and imprisoned with being overly-sensitive to the emotional states around us. It has taken me a while to learn to control the sensitivity of these abilities, and how to manage them so that I can continue doing my divination work – without too much interference from the surrounding energies.

It has also become very important to learn to listen with not only the Mind, and not only the Heart, but with BOTH – together with the Spirit. The three “etheric qualities” of Being work very well together, and balance with each other quite well! ( I will be getting to discussing these three qualities and aspects in one of my up-coming articles, soon. )

Thank you for the “like” on one or more of my Heart-Chakra articles. Part IV is just around the corner.

      1. Still a “Work-in-Progress”.

When you are very limited in resources, things take a little longer to “mature” into being.

I am also in the process of a very big move across the country soon. After I settle in to the new location, I am going to start working on apprenticeship curricula, building the Temple’s web-store, and setting up Moodle so that I can offer distance-learning through the website.

        Right now,

The “Temple” is more an informal, virtual organization – until I get settled in the new location, and find out what the filing costs are in the new state.

        The URL: http://www.templeoftheancientdragons.org/

        And the Blog at: http://blog.templeoftheancientdragons.org/

And my WordPress blog, you apparently already found it. ( “Through The Eyes of a Dragon” ).

        1. Thank you so much for writing this. I read this atlcire and had an a-ha! moment. Suddenly my life is making sense. I now know my greater purpose. I am very worried though, because over the last several years I have developed several illnesses that just keep getting worse and have lost my ability to look at the bright side of things, and my hope that it will get better. I’m not sure what to do now.

Noted your comment about humour. I’ve pondered this before on how to add more to this blog, but the two subjects don’t really seem to mesh well 🙂 Makes one think, though.

      1. I think to inject humour you would need to totally change your style of writing, which I don’t know that I would like as your writing style is easy to read and brings people in. I’m sure I could inject humour with ghosts, but hey, I laughed all the way through Anna and the King at the movies and was getting dreadful dirty looks! lol

  8. Wow.. I feel so grateful to have found your blog.. I am one, and I have suffered much as well because of this condition-for the lack of a word.. 😉 – but today, I am a yoga therapist, and I use what I feel from my clients to help them release their emotional pain and darkness through yoga postures.. I believe that there are many who are empaths.. they just do not realize or cannot discern what they feel may not be their own emotion. It is a very confusing world. But this gift comes with great blessing, I have found out! It’s like a secret weapon. 😉 Blessings!

    1. Thank you, and I agree.

Lack of understanding causes lots of problems, such as depression. People say depression is an illness, but I say it’s because people are Empaths and they are not aware of that fact.

  9. Hi Gary. My brother sent me a link to your site. And I thought I’d write and tell you that I am also completely smitten by the Bach Flower Remedies. I cannot understand why they are not more widely used.
Briefly, I started using them in the late 1980s, qualified as a practition with the Bach Centre in 1991 (when their course cost £25!). I use them dailyand also in my practice. I trained as homoeopath but stopped practicing that to start teaching spirituality; Law of Attraction and all related ‘stuff’. I give them to my coaching clients and to everyone else I can!
I now use the Healing Herbs and have wonderful book by Julian Barnard: the owner of Healing Herbs.I find these remedies much more ‘powerful’ than those made by NelsonBach. I resigned from the Bach Centre when NelsonsBach diviated from the philosophy of Edward Bach. Just in case your interested – here’s a link. http://www.healingherbs.co.uk/
The Bach Flower remedies were and still are, my path to self knowledge and realisation. And I just love them! There is always something new to find out about the flower, the plant, the remedy and myself too!
You can tell how smitten I am.
    Best wishes

    1. Hi, Rose,

Sorry, your comment got caught in my spam filter.

I, too, use healingherbs and I’ve had excellent experiences with them. I believe they are more potent than the brand label ones, and I’ve got my own theory as to why.

you can also read my review on them that I did some years ago here. http://www.psi-zone.net/healingherb.html

I’ll check out your website. I feel very strongly about BFR’s.

      Thanks for the message.

    1. Thank you for this. I am a little confused about how these awards work. There doesn’t seem to be any official word on them from WordPress. As a means of appreciate, I can see it, but something isn’t gelling here. Any thoughts?

        1. Yes I took it the same way. Seems the misleading word is nomination as there is no award.

Might be an idea to create something that would show appreciation though. Hmm.

          1. Yes, and I have no issue about it.. however it is misleading. I think, though, there is a good chance you could do something with this idea that has more merit. If you get what I’m saying here. 🙂
